I have popping or crackling sound when Playing, how do I stop it?

The problem comes from the processor priority that is set when the game is first launched. This issue should be resolved by downloading the latest patch, which you can download from here:

Tomb Raider Legend v1.2 Patch

If you are still having problems you can try the instructions below for original workaround.

  1. Launch Tomb Raider Legend and get to the main menu

  2. Hold ALT and press TAB to minimize the game and return to the desktop

  3. Next press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up the Windows Task Manager

  4. Click on the Processes tab and fine "trl.exe" in the list and Right click on it

  5. Left click on "Set Priority", and set it to Normal

  6. Close the Task manager and bring the game back up

The distorted sounds should now have disappeared. If you find the problem still exists follow the steps above again and try setting the priority to "Above Normal".
